Your privacy is of great importance to Eventgoose Tech B.V.. We adhere to the relevant laws and regulations on privacy, including the General Data Protection Regulation (the AVG), the AVG Implementation Act (UAVG), and the Telecommunications Act (Tw). In this privacy statement, we explain as best as possible how your personal data will be handled. We will:
If you have any questions or want to know exactly what we keep of you, please contact us.Our contact details are at the bottom of this privacy statement.
Our service
Our service consists of allowing event organisers to sell tickets to the public through our platform. We do this on behalf of the organizer, which makes us a “processor”. When you buy a ticket for such an event through our platform, you enter into an agreement with the organizer of that event. This is the legal basis for the processing of personal data. To ensure that you actually receive the ticket you purchased, it is necessary that we receive certain personal data from you. Without this data we will not be able to send you a ticket. If you wish to purchase a ticket through our platform we will ask you for the following personal data:
It is not mandatory to give a phone number to purchase a ticket. If you wish to do so, it is possible. A link is then made with a communication system so that the organiser of the event can keep you informed about the event. It is also possible that the organiser of an event will request additional information from you. For example, your date of birth if this is necessary for an event that has an age limit. This is however up to the organizer of the event in question and we have no influence on this.
Processing your order
We need the above mentioned personal data to be able to process your order properly. We also share these details with the organiser of the event so that the organiser knows that you have bought a ticket. We do this on the basis of the agreement we have made with the organiser of the event for which you purchased a ticket.
Payment
After you have filled in your details and placed your order, it will have to be paid. We will not process your payment details. To complete the order we will send you to the payment service provider we use. That is Buckaroo. They will process your payment further.
Receiving a ticket
After the payment of the ticket is successful the ordered tickets will be sent to the email address you provided. To arrange this we use the services of Sendgrid. The ticket that is generated for you also contains personal data such as your name and surname or for example a QR-code that contains your data. It is up to the organizer of the event which data is put on the ticket.
Storage of data and ticket
The data you provide to purchase your ticket is securely stored. For this purpose, we make use of our IT service provider established in the Netherlands. If you would like to receive more information about this, you can of course do so on request. We also send a copy of the ticket to our digital environment in Google Workspace.
Handling the access control
Eventually, you will have received your ticket in good and due form and access control will be required for the ticket. iBranding takes care of this access control.
Optional for organisations
As indicated before, it is up to the organiser of an event to determine which personal data of you are requested in addition to the data that are necessary in any case. The organiser of the event determines which of your personal data will be placed on the ticket that is generated for you. Besides that an organiser has the choice to make use of certain additional options. Below we will show you these additional options, we only make these options technically possible for an organizer. We have no influence on the way these services are provided. The concerning options are by default off, which means that these options can only be used if the organizer chooses to do so. The organiser of the event will have made arrangements with the service provider of the option in question. For more information about a certain option, please contact your event organiser.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Apart from the parties listed above, we do not share your personal data with any other parties or organisations. It may be that we are legally obliged to share certain data with the police, for example in the event that the police requires us to do so if they suspect a crime.
It may be the case that we use parties established in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA) for our services. We only use such a party if:
Of the parties listed above, at least Sendgrid
is located outside the EEA, namely in the United States. Sendgrid has included the EU standard contractual clauses in its Data Protection Addendum that applies by default to Sendgrid’s services.
Storage period
We try to store as little data as possible. We keep information about your ticket order for 24 months after the event has taken place. However, we are required to retain certain customer data for up to seven years after your order has been completed in order to comply with legal obligations to keep records for tax purposes.
